Remember those kids from grade school who would rat out another kid for simple, harmless transgressions? Remember the kiss-asses who casually chatted with teachers like they gave a shit and hovered around the desk like brownie-point-seeking vultures? Or what about the kid who always had retarded commentary on whatever the subject was in class? You know him? Oh, and don’t even get me started on college – that was even worse! I distinctly remember these goofs who would fight for a seat in the front row and ask all sorts of ridiculous questions during each and every lecture. Sometimes I used to think that even the professors were pissed at these geniuses.

For some reason, I’ve been on a “mod my PC” kick this week. I think I’ve just grown bored of the XP platform, and I’ve been itching to get that same silky interface vibe that I got when XP was first released. I know, I know – some of you are out there rolling your eyes at all of this, but the fact is, Tahoma with the Clear Type setting was really visually appealing the first time around. I loved it, and simply using my laptop was a pleasure thanks to the crispness and silkiness of the display.
I was in front of the laptop this morning working on some stuff for a client, and in the midst of distracting myself with unrelated thought tangents, I began to think, “Why don’t I update my site more often?” Simple question, really. I have lots to say, but I sit here and say nothing, alienating my audience in the process.

Monday marked the launch of the brand spankin’ new WordPress theme I told you about last Friday, and you can check out the first rollout over at Tech.Erati. The basic idea here was to produce a template that could be used across a variety of interrelated sites, creating the look and feel of a magazine when viewed as a whole. I’ll let you be the judge of how well I’ve achieved that. For the sake of comparison, you ought to check out Miz Liz on Biz, too, which represents the second implementation of the newly-dubbed “Eratizine.”
