You should have sent me a trackback. I was one of the people Cesar referenced in his nofollow post, and while I was hardly the first to criticize it, I seem to be the one who drew the most attention.

My little article on nofollow, the highest ranked result critical of nofollow, ranks #10 on Google. It used to be #6, so it could use a little help, too.

As for technorati, they’ve been updating their rankings less frequently. From talking to their developers, it seems to be that they simply don’t have enough hardware to keep them updated as often as they’d like, with zillions of new blogs being added to the net every day.

In order to get the transparent effect on the text fields, I simply applied the following CSS to each of the tags:

background: none;

I believe that

background: transparent;

would have worked as well…

Did I mention that this new template is astounding? I don’t know how you did the design of the comment form.

Anyway, I started my own viral linking campaign for New Orleans bloggers. Turns out that few of them know what a trackback is, some of them don’t know how to create links to other pages.

Some folks are a long way away from taking a bite out of the A-List.

Do you have any ideas for a viral linking campaign that could change the outcome of an election?
