Here’s hoping today’s recipients of The Indie Virus wake up with a bad case of the next riduclous search string to hit the blogosphere.

Back to Reality - 1
People tend to get sad when they have to come home from a particularly enjoyable vacation experience, but I don’t really fall into this category. Anymore, after 4 or 5 days away from home, I’m ready to get back to both normalcy and, most of all, my dogs. Although I was absolutely ready to hop on the plane this morning and return to Louisville, I had some different thoughts about this trip and how geography plays a huge role in dictating your personal reality.

Traffic Light Logic - 17
During the summer of 2001, I worked at the Air Liquide corporate offices in Houston, TX, as a lowly intern. Besides sneaking out of work every day at 2:30 pm to go play golf, one of the things I remember most about my first experience in Texas is the way the traffic lights were configured. Weird, I know, but allow me to explain.

More Non A-List Gems - 9
Although it looks like SXSW has brought the blogosphere to a screeching halt, I still want to infect a few more people with The Indie Virus while I’ve got some idle time. After one day of the experiment, exactly zero links are showing up on Technorati. Of course, if you’ve followed Technorati for any amount of time, then you know my last sentence carries about as much weight as a girl who is two weeks pregnant.

The Art of Presentation - 0
I was all jazzed up to see and hear the presentations in the exhibit entitled “AJAX: What Do I Need to Know?” After thirty minutes of ugly slideshows, improperly tuned microphones, and piss poor public speaking, I decided I’d had enough, and I retreated to the much more interesting exhibit, “We Got Naked, Now What?”

The Virus You Want to Catch - 33
I’m starting a new experiment tonight that I’d like to have some fun with over the coming weeks, but there’s a catch - I’m going to need some help from you, my critical-thinking, curious readers. Essentially, I want to launch a viral linking campaign with some pretty loose guidelines for the links. I’ve constructed this in such a way that I (or anyone else who’s interested) will be able to monitor the progress of the experiment as it (hopefully) spreads across the blogosphere.

Mr. Planner - 0
Okay, so I have a quick confessional to make. Before arriving here, I didn’t look at any of the presentations that were on the docket for SXSW, so I had absolutely no idea where I’d be going or what I’d be doing on any particular day. Really nice planning for my industry’s biggest shindig, don’t you think?

We’re in Austin! - 1
After much turbulence and senseless delays on a flying vascillator puddle jumper, Courtney and I arrived in Austin for South by Southwest at about 5:30 EST. We were able to upgrade our rental car from a Ford Focus to a Pontiac Grand Prix (without DUBs, tho - *sigh*), but the one catch is that I can’t drive the car because I’m not yet 25. This works out great for me, though, because I get to ride around with my face pasted to the windows while I ogle the new terrain.
