Welp, it’s official. After months of talking about it (but not actually doing anything – that’s crazy talk!), I’ve finally designed a WordPress theme that has been released for public consumption. Yes, it’s true – you too can have a Chris Pearson design for the low, low cost of…wait for it…nada!

Important update: I’m working on a Thesis Theme Framework skin that will offer the original PressRow design, but it’ll come with all the added benefits of Thesis, like world-class SEO, lightning-fast loading times, and precise typography.

There’s no place on earth quite like Churchill Downs during the first weekend in May. After all, how many places do you know of where you can blow scads of cash and still have the time of your life?

This year, my girlfriend’s sister came through bigtime with Oaks tickets that I was able to share with Patrick and Jay of Text Links Ads. We all had a hell of a time, but the goal of this post is not to provide you with a boring story of personal experience. Instead, I’m going to try and shed light on some things surrounding the Oaks/Derby that traditional media simply cannot cover. With that in mind, kick back, and enjoy some inside info that comes straight from the horse’s mouth!

Over the next two days, the sporting world will be focused on a little piece of land in old Louisville. That land is home to the world’s most famous racetrack, Churchill Downs.

I bought an iSight last week with the hopes that I would be able to get some video going on this site, and since we’re talking about Apple products here, I figured that it’d be a snap to set up. Right?

I mean, this is a video camera, right? So it should be really freaking easy – I’m talking lobotomy patient easy – to get rolling and record some video footage…Right?
