In reply to <a href="https://pearsonified.com/optimize-images-search-engines/#comment-1573694">Want Off Google Image Searches</a>.

Chris,

I have the same question as the previous guy. What is a way to get Google to remove a link on the image search page that is a picture of my daughter. It is on a cyber bullying site and can't seem to make real pictures go far enough ahead to make it drop to page two of off altogether. This is very important. The site will not remove it. Picture isn't bad but goes to a hateful page of lies.

Hi Chris!! This is super great advice!! I am living testimony to its validity because my image was uploaded by an employer following similar optimizing tips and landed my pic as the first image to show up when Google searching my name. I have a VERY common name. I'm amazed that after all my years of life, I avoided showing up on any internet searches...but, now...there I am.

Now, you are obviously very knowledgeable in optimizing an image. So, can you now please help me reverse it? Without having to confront my boss and lose my job? And, without Google ignoring my request to remove it since it's not offensive to them (just to my rights to privacy)?

I'm a single parent who protects my little family's privacy like any mother bear protecting her cubs. But, for this very reason, I also need no conflict at work. Please help.

Chris - Great post.

I need some help though. I've had a website up for a few years and Google still won't find my images. I'm going to do what you suggested, but PLEASE can you take a look real quick at my website and see what is going on with it?

Thanks!

You can always convert images with Photoshop into PNG-8 at 64 or 128, and if image still looks good you can have a nicely compressed image with transparency. PNG-24 will have 3-4 times large file size in comparison.
